"Magic is Us!" New Year TVC

Challenge

A TVC that turns the New Year greeting into more than a ceremonial holiday message — a warm, relatable story that conveys the value of Oyu Tolgoi's employees and community to everyone.

Solution

We created the New Year TVC around the concept "Magic is Us!". When Grandpa Winter's car breaks down on the road, young Oyu Tolgoi employees stop to help — singing together as they push the snowbound car free and overcome the obstacle as a team. Grandpa then arrives at his son's home in Khanbogd soum with a surprise and is reunited with his family.

The story unfolds in festive settings such as Grandpa Winter's character, a beautifully decorated car and Galba Park in Khanbogd soum — 11 characters across 6 locations in total.

Objective

Deliver the message "Oyu Tolgoi creates magic together" to the public through a New Year greeting.
